On February 26, 2015, the Maui Country Club and Rising Sun Solar hosted a “Green Golf” blessing and luau for its members and invited guests.

The blessing was led by Kainoa Horcajo and commemorated the completion of its 78.66kW system comprising of 228 SunPower panel – 345 Watt module array. For Rising Sun Solar + Electric, completing the installation of the PV system was a proud moment for many reasons most notably because it provides renewable energy for the club’s pro shop, cart charging stations, and golf course irrigation.

It was a beautiful evening and a fitting acknowledgment of a project which was five years in the making thanks to the perseverance of Rising Sun, club manager Russell Goshi, and the dedicated board members who had the foresight to recognize the value of this project for Maui Country Club.
